Iguelmamene was born in Algeria and she received her degree from the Art School of Algiers. Her education included painting, sculpture, interior design, visual art, calligraphy, and miniature. Iguelmamene's work has won national prizes in exhibits organized by the Algerian ministry, War Veteran. She has also been awarded various certificates of distinction. Iguelmamene paints in a semi-figurative style, by forming ideas into shapes and then allowing her imagination to take over. The semi-figurative style of blurred representations and nondescript features like those found in dreams allows for the sincere and the spontaneous all at once. She does not want to limit the framework. Following her inspiration, she makes use of large and minute surfaces. Iguelmamene states, "When my heart is in the subject matter, I resort to a greater use of space for its expression."

In 2000, one of her paintings was selected for publication in an international fine art calendar and another was printed in the book, The Women of the World, curated by Claudia DeMonte.

Her selected exhibitions include: Triton Museum, Santa Clara, California, 1996; Arab Cultural Center, San Francisco, California, 1995; Fort mason, San Francisco, 1994; Mohamed Racim Gallery, 1993; Sofitel Gallery, 1993; Maison de la Culture de Tizi Ouzou, 1993; Ibn Khaldoon Gallery, 1993; and Theatre de Verdure Gallery, 1992 - '93.
